This project was about creating a landscape that could support community, ceremony, and connection to the land for years to come.

The project consisted of transforming the existing outdoor space through different design elements, including relocating the existing patio, incorporating a dry creek bed to manage site runoff, and creating a new fire pit area.

The open planting areas became an important part of the project when the church hosted a ceremony where 450 woodland and prairie plantings were placed into the landscape. With over 17 different native species now established, this space will continue to evolve and thrive over the coming years.

The side courtyard was also designed with the future in mind, creating space for a future shed and sweat lodge while allowing the landscape to continue developing around them.

For us, this project was about more than building a landscape. It was about creating a space for community, ceremony, gathering, and a deeper connection to the land.
